February Happenings...

The period between the winter holidays and the end of the school year is the busiest programming time for the Ripple Effect - Calgary Current. Here's what we have on the calendar for this month...

We are please to welcome Mike Murrey from the Bow River Basin Council (BRBC) as a guest speaker at our youth meeting on February 4. The Bow River Basin Council is a collaborative and multi-stakeholder, charitable organization that is dedicated to conducting activities and programs that encourage and advance the enjoyment, learning, and protection of the waters of the Bow River Basin.

The BRBC is an important community partner and we're please and thankful that Mike is taking time out of his weekend to come share his knowledge and expertise with the group. Thank you Mike!

Mid-February, the Ripple Effect - Calgary Current will be joining the City of Calgary at their Caring for Our Watershed contest display at the Calgary City Teachers' Convention. On February 16th and 17th at the Telus Convention Centre, the Calgary Current youth will be talking with teachers about their past experiences participating in the annual watershed contest and their current experiences implementing the winning proposals from 2011. See you there!
